Today we are shining the teacher spotlight on yet another one of our amazing teachers. Meet Mrs. Lauren LeMieux, a 4th (English Language Arts, Science, and Religion), and 5th grade teacher (English Language Arts) at Trinity Regional School in East Northport!
Mrs. LeMieux has been a member of the Trinity Regional school community for 13 years, and she’s been teaching for a total of 16 years. Before accepting her role at Trinity Regional, Mrs. LeMieux worked as a substitute teacher for Catholic elementary schools all throughout our diocese. After High School, she studied at LIU Post in Brooklyn, and LIM College in NYC. In addition to her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, she also holds a Master’s Degree in Childhood Education and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Leadership.
Mrs. LeMieux is certified in Childhood Education, and she’s also the ELA i-Ready Coordinator, Kindness Club Moderator, Newspaper Club Moderator, Social Media and Website Manager at Trinity Regional School. She’s truly a master of many skills who serves with excellence and selflessness!
But that’s not all – Mrs. LeMieux is also a religious education teacher at St. Philip Neri parish in Northport, and she loves spending time with her family, reading, and riding bikes with her children in her free time.
One of the things that Mrs. LeMieux loves about teaching at Trinity Regional School is the strong sense of community and family values that the students and parents embody. She loves working with her colleagues as a team to support the learning and growth of her students.
“Our school community is truly a family and the best part about it is the ability to share our beliefs and faith together everyday.”
-Mrs. LeMieux
Speaking of family, Mrs. LeMieux lives in Northport with her husband and their two boys, who attend Trinity Regional School, too! And did you know that Mrs. LeMieux attended Catholic high school herself? She’s an alum of St. Anthony High School in South Huntington!
We’ll leave you with one of Mrs. LeMieux’s favorite quotes from St. Catherine of Siena: “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.”
Thank you, Mrs. LeMieux, for all that you do for our students and our school community!
