Field Trips, Confirmation, and Mock Trial! 🎢 🕊️👨‍⚖️

As the school year comes to a close, the students in the Long Island Catholic Elementary Schools enjoyed numerous exciting activities, including field trips, Confirmation, concerts, Mock Trial, and retreats! It has been a very enriching school year filled with faith, fun, and learning, and this week was no different. As summer break approaches, the students and faculty have been making the most of these last days they have together!

^ The 8th graders at Holy Angels Regional School in Patchogue took an exciting end-of-the-year trip up to Six Flags! 🎢

Exciting day in Kindergarten! All 8 caterpillars emerged into 8 beautiful butterflies and were released this afternoon!

^ The kindergarteners at Holy Child Academy in Old Westbury witnessed an exciting natural phenomenon when they watched as 8 caterpillars blossomed into butterflies! 🦋

^ The little ones at Holy Family School in Hicksville enjoyed an exciting trip to the park for some fun in the outdoors! 🌳

Our eighth grade students received the gifts of the Holy Spirit, wisdom, understanding, counsel, piety, knowledge, fortitude, and fear of the Lord, through the sacrament of Confirmation. May the gifts of the Holy Spirit guide you and bring great joy in all that you do! Congratulations on your Confirmation! 🕊️

^ The 8th graders at Holy Name of Mary in Valley Stream grew deeper in their faith as they received the sacrament of Confirmation! 🕊️

Congratulations to all the Maria Regina musicians and vocalists who performed last night at the 2024 Spring Concert! Thank you to all our families who came out in support of our performing arts program and students. Special thanks to Music teacher Mr. Parra and Band instructor Mr. Orzano for all their work with the students throughout the year.

Did you know that we have a Mock Trial program at our school? Forty one students competed in four teams at St John’s University on Saturday.

^ Many students from Notre Dame Catholic School in New Hyde Park participated in an exciting Mock Trial competition! 👨‍⚖️

Mrs. Jenn Lopez created the ultimate retreat day for our 7th-grade girls last week, which included a pancake breakfast, team-building activities, Latin dance lessons, a nacho bar lunch, a “Paint your Partner” painting class, and a movie with candy. The highlight of the day was the visit from Island Harvest with the girls making toiletry bags for the needy. A FUN-FILLED & MEANINGFUL DAY! Thank you, Mrs. Lopez!
