We are pleased to shine a spotlight on Bishop Robert J. Coyle, an esteemed figure in the Catholic community with an impressive background and a deep commitment to his faith!
With a solid educational foundation from St. Edward the Confessor School in Syosset and St. Mary’s Boys High School in Manhasset, Bishop Coyle went on to pursue higher education at Fordham University. There, he obtained a BA in Economics before answering the call to serve the Church. He furthered his theological studies at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception, where he earned both a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts degree.
I am always grateful for my Catholic education on Long Island. I am a graduate of the St. Edward School in Syosset Class of 1978. I especially give thanks to the Sisters of Mercy and my childhood pastor, Fr. Henry J Palmer. I look back too in thanksgiving for the Marist Brothers and St. Mary’s High School Class of 1982.
