We are pleased to spotlight Edward Finan, who is an accomplished individual who has made meaningful contributions to the field of education. Edward’s educational journey began at Our Lady of Peace in Lynbrook for elementary school, followed by his enrollment at the Saint Pius X Preparatory Seminary in Uniondale. He pursued higher education at Saint John’s University in Jamaica, NY, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, and later obtained a Master of Science in Secondary Education.
Edward currently works as a Catholic school teacher at St. Luke’s School in Whitestone, NY. He previously worked at Christ the King High School in Middle Village, NY, and St. Mary’s High School in Manhasset, NY. Edward exemplifies the impact of passionate educators and is an inspiring role model to those around!
I have tried to instill the same love for learning and more importantly, the same Christian values which I learned in my own students. I have been a Catholic schoolteacher (various schools) my entire career because I believe in the importance of a Catholic education.
