We are thrilled to spotlight Rev. John Crozier! He is an alumnus of both St. Agnes Cathedral School in Rockville Centre and Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale. Fr. John earned a BA in Philosophy from St. John’s University in Jamaica and an MA in Theology from St. Joseph’s Seminary, with a focus on Ecclesiology. We couldn’t be more thrilled to highlight his accomplishments and celebrate his journey.
In June of 2020, Fr. John was ordained into the priesthood by Bishop Barres, marking a significant milestone in his religious journey. Since then, he has been serving as an Associate Pastor at St. Mary’s in East Islip, fulfilling his duties with devotion and passion.
Fr. John’s dedication to service and community involvement was evident during his school years, as he participated in various organizations such as Service Club, Sacristans, Campus Ministry, Choir, and Parish Religious Education Program. He received a PREP (Parish Religious Education Program) award during his years at Kellenberg High School!
My Catholic education challenged me to grow and be formed in an environment that was academically robust and faithfully Catholic. Exposure to the sacraments, especially the Eucharist, grounded our experience in the Catholic faith, while also challenging us to grow academically.
– Fr. John
Fr. John’s vocation as a diocesan priest holds a special significance as he is the first priestly vocation from St. Agnes Cathedral School in nearly four decades. He hopes that there is a shorter period of time to pass before St. Agnes Cathedral School produces another priestly vocation for the Diocese of Rockville Centre!
We’re blessed to have Fr. John as an alumna of our Long Island Catholic Elementary Schools. We wish him all the best in his ministry and may he continue to inspire future generations to follow in his footsteps.
