Since the beginning of mankind, Archangels have played a crucial role in salvation history. They’ve appeared as fearsome warriors fighting the devil, been companions on a traveler’s journey, and messengers of the good news of salvation! The number of Archangels is not known to us but there are three Archangels that we know from Sacred Scripture: Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel. Today we celebrate St. Gabriel the Archangel! He is the patron saint of messengers, communication workers, diplomats, and postal workers.

Who was the man chosen by God to raise His only Begotten Son? St. Joseph, revered as the patron saint of fathers, workers, and the Universal Church, plays a pivotal role in salvation history!
Who is St. Patrick?
St. Patrick was well known for being a leader in the movement of Christianity in Ireland, spreading the word of God to those who did not want it. Despite the hardships he faced, St. Patrick listened to God’s call for his life to get others to know God, and to spread his kingdom on Earth!
Enriching Math Lessons, Exciting Field Trips, and Basketball Championships! 📝🏕️🏀
It was another exciting and enriching week at the Diocese of Rockville Centre Catholic Schools! There were a lot of very engaging and unique math lessons taught at the DRVC schools over the past week, including lessons that integrated the theme of Pi Day, lessons that involved teamwork, and even a Decimal Diner! There was also an exciting field trip, a hands-on science lesson, and a big win on the basketball court. What a wonderful week to be a DRVC student!

St. Dominic Savio was a holy soul from a young age. He impressed many with his knowledge of the Catholic Faith, his perseverance to live as Jesus did, and his hard work to become a saint and encourage others to become saints as well in the Kingdom of Heaven!
