It was an incredibly exhilarating week at DRVC Catholic Elementary Schools as the academic year came to a close! The atmosphere was brimming with excitement as students and staff joined together to celebrate the culmination of a successful and faith-filled school year. The week overflowed with memorable moments, including heartfelt graduation ceremonies, lively end-of-year parties, and beautiful mass celebrations. As the school year wrapped up, the anticipation carried on with the commencement of summer camps, ensuring that the faith-filled and academically enriching experiences would extend throughout the summer months!
Alumni Spotlight: Meet Rosemary McDonnell👩🎓💡
We are delighted to feature Rosemary McDonnell, an accomplished alumna, in our spotlight this week. Rosemary completed her early education at St. William the Abbot in Seaford, NY, followed by St. John the Baptist High School in West Islip, NY. She then pursued her higher education at St. John’s University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Homeland Security.

The highlight was the various graduation ceremonies where proud parents, teachers, and friends gathered to honor the achievements of the Class of 2023. Throughout the week, a wide range of fun activities took place, including Hat Day, Flag Day celebrations, and Sporting Events!

We are delighted to highlight Allison Mars Virgilio, an accomplished and dedicated individual and alumna of St. Aidan School in Williston Park! Allison began her educational journey at St. Aidan School where she laid a solid foundation for her future endeavors. Progressing to Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead for high school, she further cultivated her skills and knowledge. Driven by her commitment to learning, Allison pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Fordham University. Equipped with her educational background, she currently thrives as the owner of AMV Event + Balloon Curation, skillfully blending her passion for event planning with her entrepreneurial spirit.
