It was a wonderful May week at the Diocese of Rockville Centre Catholic schools! Students celebrated the faith through the Sacrament of First Holy Communion and May Crowning ceremonies! DRVC students enjoyed many physical activities both indoors and outdoors this past week, including golfing, Field Day, and a Walk-A-Thon! Overall, it was a very enriching week at the DRVC Catholic schools.

The Diocese of Rockville Centre Catholic School’s students aren’t slowing down as the end of the school year approaches. There have been many fun performances this past week for several grade levels, including a Marian Concert and a showing of the Little Mermaid Junior!

Who is St. Catherine of Siena?
Catherine of Siena was born in Siena, Italy, on March 25, 1347, during a time when the bubonic plague was in Europe. She came from a large family, but sadly, many of her siblings did not survive infancy. Despite the hardships, Catherine grew up deeply devoted to her faith.
Sacred Art, Concerts, and Book Drives! 🎨 🎼 📚
It was another exciting and enriching week at the Diocese of Rockville Centre Catholic schools! The students learned exciting lessons about government, plants, music, history, and most importantly, the faith! Some DRVC students created original artwork of the Eucharist and others organized a book drive. There were so many exciting activities at the DRVC schools this week!

Diocese of Rockville Centre Catholic Schools had a busy week this, as students are excitedly diving into class projects and working hard as the end of the year is quickly approaching! In the classroom, students have been actively engaging in science experiments, showing off their school spirit, and getting creative with fun class activities like monster projects and learning about gardening! Getting outside into the nice weather, students have also participating in outdoor obstacle courses, learning about all the plants in bloom, and showing off their athletic abilities at recess in the warm sun! Students have been showing their support for Autism Awareness Month during April as well, and are deepening their faith in everything they have been learning!
