St. Dominic offers a small school experience with a strong Catholic identity and mission. Our robust Academic Program includes challenges for those that are ready, and support for those that need it.
St. Dominic Elementary and Middle Schools in Oyster Bay offer an educational experience from Pre-K to grade 8. We provide a conservative curriculum under the Roman Catholic Doctrines. All students participate in a faith-based curriculum. Each month we focus on a Virtue. Each month a student is selected from each class who emulated that Virtue and they are awarded a certificate at one of our weekly school Mass. The parish clergy supplements our Religion program by visiting the classes each week.
Our Pre Kindergarten early childhood program is Montessori-based, utilizing a sensory-motor approach to learning.
Our middle school students can experience advanced Math, culminating in the NYS Regents. The NYS Regents in Earth Science is also taught to the 8th graders in our state-of -the art science lab. Our students are prepared to receive course credit in these courses and advance at the High School level.
Aftercare is available as well as many extracurricular activities including middle school sports. Students who attend St. Dominic Elementary School are provided with a strong spiritual and academic program that will prepare them to be the leaders of tomorrow.
