So much has been happening this week within the Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Rockville Centre! As the school year progresses, students have been proudly displaying their talents and demonstrating what they’ve been learning! They’ve been attending gardening club, sharing their reading skills with student buddies and parents, and showcasing their creative and crafty personalities in art class. Students have also been actively participating in the sacraments this Lenten season. Second graders have been receiving their first Reconciliation, while others have been deepening their understanding of the Mass and learning to serve in it as well. The dedication and joy of the students have truly made this school year a remarkable experience!
^ Our Lady of Lourdes School in Malverne middle school students showcased their crafting skills at the Garden and Craft club, the school also hosted its second annual Early Childhood Literacy Night, where parents and students delved into the joy of reading, and finally wrapped up the week with students enjoying a visit by best selling author John Sazaklis! ππ
^ Our Lady of Peace School in Lynbrook 2nd-grade students received their First Reconciliation, marking an important milestone in their spiritual journey. Meanwhile, 7th-grade students actively participated in a meaningful First Friday mass. To conclude the week, OLP joyously celebrated the annual 4th & 5th Grade Social Studies Fair, where students presented their projects while dressed in themed attire! πβοΈβΉοΈββοΈ
^ Our Lady of the Hamptons Regional Catholic School in Southampton students had a blast this week with 7th/8th grade buddies getting to read books and color with their kindergarten/1st grade buddies, while other students were recognized and honored for their outstanding work at the Prep Steam Fair! π§βπ€βπ§ππ
^ Our Lady Queen of Apostles School in Center Moriches kindergrarten students planted Lenten Gardens to show how much they are growing this season, while the other kindergarten class kicked off Doctor Seuss week with hat day!πΊπ§’
^ Saint Agnes Cathedral School in Rockville Centre 2nd grade students received the sacrament of their 1st Holy Communion this week! #blessed π
^ Saint Aidan Catholic School in Williston Park students started March by celebrating mass together with the help of this week’s wonderful host class, and two students were also recognized as Artists of the Week for their exceptional artwork! βοΈπ¨
^ St. Brigid/Our Lady of Hope Regional School in Westbury basketball teams had an awesome week with the girl’s basketball team receiving the CYO Sportsmanship Award while the boys basketball team concluded their season undefeated with a 10-0 record! ππ₯
