It was a bustling week for the Catholic Schools of the Diocese! Students celebrated Valentine’s Day by exchanging homemade cards and treats with friends and teachers! The excitement continued with the spirited observance of the 100th day of school, featuring crafts and lively costumes inspired by grandparents. Amidst basketball games, Mardi Gras festivities, and abundant learning, the week took on a special significance with the start of Lent. Students received ashes during Mass and delved into the significance of this period leading up to Easter!
^ Holy Angels Regional School in Patchogue students marked the 100th day of school by engaging in crafty projects and wearing attire borrowed from their grandparents’ closets! Additionally, they had the opportunity to celebrate both Valentine’s Day and Ash Wednesday in each of their classrooms! 👵🧓💕🙏
^ Long Beach Catholic Regional in Long Beach The girls’ and boys’ basketball teams secured victories in all their games this week, showcasing their skill and determination on the court! Meanwhile, the fourth-grade students embarked on an exciting field trip to Rise NY after immersing themselves in lessons about the vibrant New York City! 🏀🗽
^ Maria Regina School in Seaford students experienced an abundance of love and festivity this week as they learned about the traditions of Mardi Gras, crafting their own masks in class, joyfully celebrating Valentine’s Day, and visiting the the Student Council Bake Sale with so many yummy treats! 🎭💕🍪
